Movement Software strengthens with Finance Manager
Ebba Blom joins as Finance Manager.
Tell us about yourself?
"I was born and raised here in Gothenburg, and recently moved to an apartment in Örgryte with my partner and our little son who is almost a year and a half. I enjoy traveling when I get the chance, as well as spending time with family or friends and having dinners."
What have you done previously?
"You could say I come from the beauty industry, as I worked in the beauty department at Åhléns after high school. I continued working there part-time when I started studying for a bachelor's degree in economics, and then added a master's in Management with a focus on digital commerce at the University of Borås. Thanks to my job at the beauty department, I got the opportunity to start working at Lernberger Stafsing, a Swedish skin and hair care brand based in Gothenburg. While still studying, I began working there, and after graduation I stepped into the role of Finance Manager. It was a comprehensive role with a lot of responsibility right away, but I enjoy challenges and it was an extremely instructive time!"
Why did you apply to Movement Software?
"I had heard such great things about the work culture from former colleagues who had joined Movement Software, which made me curious. Here they promote flexibility and that life encompasses more than work, while also setting high standards and giving you a lot of responsibility, which motivates me. I got to meet Per Kahlmeter who leads our Finance team and Rickard Ahlbom who is CEO of Verendus, and I felt there's a drive here and a pursuit of always doing things a little better — and I thought this sounds like a fun challenge!"
What does your role involve?
"I am responsible for the finances of Verendus, which has operations in Sweden, Norway, and Germany, so it's almost like a mini-group. I handle the daily ongoing work around bookkeeping, and also work a lot with follow-up and forecasting together with the CEO. Going forward, I will also focus on improvement opportunities in our processes and routines."
